Donors will support A Woman’s Work by bidding to enjoy an  “excursion” with some of the area’s most interesting and dynamic men. A series of auctions will be held every Wednesday evening in October at Martini’s Bistro, 543 Terry Street, Longmont from 7-8 p.m. We will post all the men and their "excursions" on our website and will take bids online as well.

Here is how it works:

Men will share their “trading cards” that give their interests and what they would like to do on their “excursion”. This may include a meal or activity chosen to reflect the gentleman’s personality or interests (some examples of the excursions include a bike ride along the St. Vrain Greenway with a stop for lunch, a scenic flight over the Front Range for 2 people, a tailgate party and tickets to a CU Football Game for the gentleman and three others and many more creative and fun outings). Men, ages 21 to 70 have volunteered and been photographed for this fun event.  The top twelve money earners will be in the Magnificent Men of A Woman's Work Calendar for 2011. We are already taking pre-orders for this fun and very handsome $20 calendar.

“Coming to the Plate” will be launched with a Champagne Reception at the Still Frame Gallery at 372 Main Street from 7-9 p.m. on Wednesday, September 29, 2010. Everyone is welcome to come and see the fantastic portraits of the generous men making this event possible! This will be a chance for interested bidders to meet all the magnificent men. On each Wednesday in October, a group of men will be auctioned off to the highest bidder. On November 10th we will have a Champagne Celebration, once again at Still Frame Gallery and distribute The Magnificent Men of A Woman’s Work Calendar for 2011.
