The Dougherty Museum located 1 mile South of Longmont on US Hwy. 287. It is filled with more than 150 antique cars, musical instruments and farm equipment dating back to 1902. The museum is open from June 1st and will close this year August 26th. Hours: Friday - Sunday 10:00am - 4:00pm, admission is $4/per adult, $3/per children (6 -12), Children under 6 are free. The Sandstone Ranch Visitor Center is the former Morse Coffin homestead site. Displays on the local environment and history of the house are available to visitors every Tuesday from 9 am to Noon and on the second and fourth Saturdays from 10 am to 2 pm through October. Admission is free. The Sandstone Ranch Visitor Center is located on Highway 119, one mile east of Weld County Road 1. Turn south at the easternmost entrance (the Sandstone Ranch District Park entrance) next to the Chevrolet dealer and follow the signs to the Visitor Center parking lot.
